Can Castell is situated in the lovely old village of Santanyi , which has been the municipal centre of South East Mallorca since 1300. It is 40 minutes drive from Palma airport. It has a beautiful village square with town hall where there is a very good and fun market twice weekly all year round and a beautiful old church with a famous old organ. The village provides bakeries, shops, cafes, tapas bars, art galleries, ceramic workshops, antiques and craft shops, boutiques and all amenities.

The house is under 10 minutes drive or (bicycle ride) of some of the best beaches of Mallorca down lovely winding country roads bordered with stone walls. It is 25 minutes from the famous 12 km Es Trenc beach and close to excellent golf courses. There are lots of lovely drives and walks in the area.

Accommodation: Street level: Entrance, living / dining room + semi open kitchen

Rather steep indoor staircase (house therefore not fit for elderly ) leads to upstairs where there are two separate sleeping arrangements (with no door between).

Very narrow staircase leads to rooftop terrace with view over rural landscape and the Mediterranean some 4 kilometres away.

Very quiet – house is situated in cul de sac – therefore very few traffic noises, but rural sounds can be heard occasionally!
